We very much appreciated the host letting us check in early - saved us so much hassle, so thank you! The home and property are beautiful, but getting to and from this place is definitely not easy, especially with multiple bags and suitcases. The walk is 20 minutes from the town, uphill and over a lot of gravel, so if you're travelling with kids or someone who is not able to do a walk like that multiple times a day, this is definitely not the home for you. You also have to pass a "private property" gate that we had to ask the host about, so be prepared for that. The biggest negative to our stay was that the door and gate are both EXTREMELY difficult to lock to the point where they are almost non-functional. We couldn't lock the front door at all save for 1 time and the gate was challenging and frustrating most of the time, especially after a very long day when we really were not in the mood to have so much trouble with something so simple. We definitely would suggest a keypad or changing the locks entirely - the current ones just do not work well at all. We also had to re-set the breaker box upon arrival, which was not fun to figure out. Other than that, the rest of the home was very clean and well-stocked, the price was reasonable and the host was responsive and kind. Overall, we'd stay again for a quick weekend, we'd just bring our own door locks and no luggage next time.

Very clean and cute property with a responsive and kind host who replied quickly whenever we had questions. The kitchen was especially well stocked, which we appreciated during our stay. However, the listing was unclear regarding the commute and accessibility. We arrived very late at night with multiple suitcases, and the walk to the property was much longer and more difficult than expected, especially with someone in our group who is not fully able-bodied. We also initially had issues with the hot water, although the host helped us resolve it. Additionally, there were ants all along the exterior of the property, and because a window had been left open before our arrival, there were bugs inside the apartment when we first got there. Overall, the stay improved once we got settled, but clearer communication about the walk, accessibility, and upkeep would make a big difference for future guests.
